April got her start with horses when she was young and has taken that love with her all the way to graduate school. While studying at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia she took her horse with her and got her degree in animal science. Moving to Knoxville to study at the University of Tennessee afforded her the chance to ride and compete on the schools ISHA Equesterian Team. Her main areas of interest are western riding, trails, reining and working with students.
She is excited to join the Trish Franks School of Riding in Brentwood, Tennessee.  In addition to riding and teaching at the Trish Franks School, April also owns a large ranch in Roopville, Georgia where her father runs a large working ranch. She truly enjoys teaching students, showing and riding when she can.
When April is not at the barn she can be found studying for graduate school and preparing for law school.
