Ryan May a graduated Senior of the IEA program was introduced to the Natchez Bend Equestrian Team as a fellow competitor. Being a resident of McDonald, Tennessee, Ryan competed on the Ocoee Equestrian Team with skills of a long time horse veteran. Ryan’s personality made friends and supported every teams competitors in venues throughout the United States. He has to his credit many championships in Reining, Horsemanship and Hunter divisions. Ryan qualified for the Western Nationals with his Ocoee Team and ask for the assistance of Natchez Bend Western Coaches Trish Franks and Brittany Franks to prepare him for the National competition in Oklahoma City in June of 2013. With Ryan’s skill, his hopes and dream of becoming a National Western IEA Champion was granted. He and a fellow female competitor from an IEA team in Texas had even scores and Ryan made the decision to offer his support to the IEA in making the earned Championship a Co-Champion Award sharing it with his friend. IHSA and NCAA Coaches keep regular contact with Ryan. Ryan was written up as one of the top twenty High School Athletes in Sports Illustrated for his National Title at the IEA Western Championships in June 2013 under the guidance of Trish Franks-Natchez Bend Equestrian Team, Inc. Ryan was a member of the Ocoee IEA Team in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
